Starcraft and YEC
Well, it happened.
I beat a South Korean in Starcraft.
So they didn’t have a great record (my friend suggests it was a girl) but the fact is Starcraft is like a religion over there. I can’t imagine the kind of humiliation this guy faces on a daily basis if he’s a subpar Starcraft player in Korea.
My friend Kevin pointed out this article to me. Oh the Young Earth Creationists (YEC) are quite a funny group.
Summer school has started. Oh well.

I am korean and I really humiliated by this fact. I hate people who say that Korea has a starcraft religion just because many people play it. Actually germans and english people play as much starcraft as koreans. Czech people actually made real terran weapons because of the fans. I dont want to argue, but this post really mad me sad :[

hey bud, no worries… it’s all in good fun. obviously i was exaggerating; i dont mean to imply that Korea is the only nation obsessed with starcraft as there are plenty of people from lots of countries that enjoy it (sometimes fervently)
besides, i highly doubt any Korean actually worships starcraft like a religion, it’s just a joke since it’s so popular over there
