Blog-Starting

So I’ve decided to start a blog (following after my roommate Sapan). We’ll see how long it lasts.

I’ll update from time to time with whatever strikes me as interesting enough to talk about(though it’ll probably mostly be for my benefit) but feel free to add comments.

I went to NYC this past weekend with the ‘rents. It was my third time visiting; saw a few shows and as always there are tons of people there. Also saw this:

If you’re wondering “Matt, why am I looking at a picture of a bunch of people standing outside a building?” or “Matt, why do I see a bunch of marine-types getting into a helicopter?”, well I have an answer.

While in NYC we decided to go on one of those 15-minute helicopter tours around Manhattan. When we get there, several people were there already with video/audio/etc equipment shooting for a movie. In fact, it’s going to be a movie called The Taking of Pelham 123 with Denzel Washington and John Travolta, coming out in 2009. These pictures were taken from inside our helicopter after we landed back on the dock; we had to wait a few minutes for them to shoot this scene with the marines before we could leave.

I might post more pictures from our trip later, but this entry is getting long.
